Robust 18/10 high-grade steel

is the basic material of this series of cutlery. This steel includes 18% chrome and 10% nickel. The decoration is accented with a gilding which is applied in a galvanic bath to in Germany. Before this golden bath the surfaces which shouldn't get gold are covered in with varnish by hand.

Picard & Wielpuetz Ligato can

be delivered with 2 different knife types: Knives with a hollow handle have a blade of special steel which is clearly sharper than a blade from an simple chrome steel. The high-quality hollow handle knives are always composed from two parts, with this cutlery from the blade and the handle from stainless w/ gold accents. monobloc knives are made out of one piece of chrome steel free of nickel. With these knives no joint is visible between blade and handle. Picard & Wielpuetz Ligato in stainless w/ gold accents is highly polished. The functional, classical cutlery meets all the wishes with the extent of his additional parts: from carving set to coffee spoon, from salad set to sugar tongs .
