It is not obvious that this cutlery is one of the oldest patterns in the today's program of the Flensburg manufacture. Robbe & Berking Art Deco is based on a design of the thirties of the last century. In an epoch in which luxury liners and hotels were equipped as a matter of course completely in the to then incredibly new style 'Art Deco ', the Flensburger manufacture originated this cutlery. Rediscovered decades later by the accidental finding of tools, the original charm of this style characterizes this cutlery. Nothing is re-creation: Everything is original.

The cutlery is made from base

metal with a silver plating in Germany. The silver is applied with a galvanic bath and is indicated in Germany usually in gramme for 12 forks and spoons, assumed with 24dm². In other countries such information predominantly is renounced. The surface is free of nickel. The Silver plating from Robbe & Berking corresponds to a thickness from 60 µm.

Robbe & Berking Art Deco has

knives with a hollow handle. Knives with a hollow handle have a blade of special steel which is clearly sharper than a blade from an simple chrome steel. The high-quality hollow handle knives are always composed from two parts, with this cutlery from the blade and the handle from silverplated. Robbe & Berking Art Deco in silverplated is highly polished. The classical cutlery meets all the wishes with the extent of his additional partsand is only deliverable in sets.
