The "Spaten" pattern is the archetypal design for classical cutlery. It represents the beginnings of the history of 16th century cutlery designs, which are still used today. Since this time, it has remained the most popular model in sterling silver ever. Many families and homes have used this model for centuries. There is no other pattern which is characterised by such large smooth, shiny surfaces as "Spaten" with its wide-ended handle, which is ideal for engraving, coats of arms, logos and monograms.
"Spaten" is timeless cutlery design at its best – design that will not age: striking faceted wings, long straight prongs, a slender bowl and the sharp edges of the handle. This shape goes particularly well with all white china – even the most modern designs. "Spaten" has remained virtually unchanged by Koch & Bergfeld since the company was founded in 1829. massive 925/ººº real silver in Germany. Since pure silver is a quite soft material, Spaten includes 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. On base of massive silver ornaments and decors can be worked out precisely. The quality is guaranteed by the assaying of Germany and from Koch & Bergfeld.

Koch & Bergfeld Spaten has knives

with a hollow handle. Knives with a hollow handle have a blade of special steel which is clearly sharper than a blade from an simple chrome steel. The high-quality hollow handle knives are always composed from two parts, with this cutlery from the blade and the handle from sterling silver. Koch & Bergfeld Spaten in sterling silver is highly polished. The classical cutlery meets all the wishes with the extent of his additional partsand is only deliverable in sets.
