metal with a silver plating in Germany. The silver is applied with a galvanic bath and is indicated in Germany usually in gramme for 12 forks and spoons, assumed with 24dm². In other countries such information predominantly is renounced. The surface is free of nickel. The Silver plating from Wilkens & Söhne corresponds to a thickness from 72 µm.

has knives with a hollow handle. Knives with a hollow handle have a blade of special steel which is clearly sharper than a blade from an simple chrome steel. The high-quality hollow handle knives are always composed from two parts, with this cutlery from the blade and the handle from silverplated. Wilkens & Söhne Augsburger Faden in silverplated is highly polished. The classical cutlery meets all the wishes with the extent of his additional partsand is only deliverable in sets.
